![]() That's fair enough, and it doesn't matter why you forgot there's other players in the game. There is more than one player in this game, if you forget that because the person you happen to be concentrating on has a 'low skill', then you deserve what you get. too late for you my friend.Īnd whilst you play less defensively - another player takes you out. Wouldn't hidding stats at this moment amount to nothing to any player already blue/purple?. If any significant amount of players hide their stats, and/or skew the top of the playerbase towards certain ship types, it's going to have a detrimental effect on the long-term reliabilty of WoWS stats as a whole.Īnd yes, I'm aware that things like this have been around in some form, but the promotion and forum reaction of the past few days has certainly made it much more common than it's been before. Not only is MMM-sniping less avoidable in WoWS, this game also allows you to hide your stats, unlike WoT (unless that's changed). No purple player will want to have even MORE planes and HE spam thrown at their Yamato, so they'll stop playing it. If not hiding their stats, good players may begin leaning more on ships that can negate MMM-sniping, moving towards stealth and smoke-based ships even more than now.I realize that happens now, but I suspect it will increase as more players automate stat retrieval. Other players will choose to hide their stats to avoid being shamed mid-battle. Unlike World of Tanks, there's much less cover to instantly pop behind, so it's more difficult to avoid "MMM-sniping" than it was in WoT. ![]() Even for a good player, being constantly tunnel-visioned by aircraft or much of the enemy team is a big detriment, and having a blue or purple tag on MMM will do that. An unhealthy amount of good players will eventually hide their stats in order to avoid XVM-sniping.I worry that there will be a couple of outcomes if this program becomes widely adopted: In my opinion, you haven't followed the rabbit hole deep enough before introducing this. ![]()
